Isothiazoline
 Isothiazoline (sometimes called Isothiazolone) is a heterocyclic chemical compound with the chemical formula C3H3NOS, which is a simple compound compared to many heterocycles and has been discovered almost recently.
Reports of this substance were first published in the 1960s. This compound alone has no application; however, its derivatives are widely used as fungicides and disinfectants.
Isothiazoline is usually in light green color and its derivatives are widely used in biological fields as an antimicrobial or antibacterial preservative. This substance easily dissolves in water and has very low toxicity.
Isothiazolines are typically manufactured on an industrial scale by closing a ring of sulfanil propanamide derivatives.
